Corona Zephyr (c.1938)
Item Number: CO-P009
Corona called this the nine-pound wonderfor it tips the scale, carrying case and all, at just nine pounds. This was an entry-level compact portable developed to compete with other compact models in the market such as the Hermes Baby. The Zephyr model offered an alternative for the traveler and the occasional typist. Two versions of Zephyr were offered at the time: a regular version and a deluxe version, which had a few more convenient features.
