A relatively less common models, the No. 4 model writes 76 characters otherwise exactly the same as the famous Underwood No. 5. Mechanical features include: backspacer, two-color ribbon, stencil device, tabulator, variable platen release for writing on ruled paper, automatic ribbon reverse, etc. All Underwood typewriters have forced alignment guide and combined speed with durability.
